About The TSC
The Texas Society of Cytology (TSC) was founded in 1971 by John Lukeman,
a gentleman and a scholar, who spent most of his professional career at M.D.
Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He continues to be a life-time honorary
member.

The TSC is celebrating its 38 th year as a distinguished state cytology society of
pathologists and cytotechnologists who are interested in the field of cytology and
strive to unify efforts for the advancement of cytologic investigation and the
dissemination of cytologic knowledge by the exchange of information and
knowledge of all phases of cytology. The TSC ’s membership includes
representatives from across the state of Texas who share a vision of education,
research and continuous improvement in the standards and quality of patient
care.
Each year the TSC Officer positions rotate from the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex
to Houston to San Antonio. The annual education program is geared towards
providing participants which updated information and continuing education on
the field of cytopathology.
